Some of the Things To Know about Ric Flair

Named as one of the most known professional wrestlers in the history who every wrestling fan would know is Ric Flair, also popularly recognized as the Nature Boy, and who one would have to beat in order to be labelled as the man. In all of Flair’s 36 years of wrestling career, he is both hated and loved among wrestlers, which just shows how his legacy and of being a legend had left a big impact in the wrestling profession of today.

Before becoming a full time professional wrestler, Ric Flair hailed from Memphis, Tennessee and was moving around the country. Flair took odd jobs like being a lifeguard, until being recruited in a university because of his wrestling ability, and has been in the wrestling world ever since. Flair was able to draw the attention of the wrestling crowd because of his ring endurance and charismatic personality which had become his career trademark, not to mention his bleached blond golden hair, his handsome looking physique and his suave wrestling style.

Flair was building his legacy through a wrestling association and almost came to a halt when he encountered a serious plane crash, where he broke his back in three places, and worse was the advice of the doctors for him not to wrestle again. However, Flair is full of will and guts, that he underwent rigorous physical therapies and was able to return again to the ring in a matter of only half a year after his accident. The plane crash had given Flair injuries that made him changed his wrestling technique known as the slick style and further led him to be called as the Nature Boy.

In 1985, he helped organized one of the most popular groups in the wrestling world called the Four Horseman. This group had held several championship titles and it was their rule breaking tactics that led to these winnings. Flair had several personal feuds and controversies among wrestlers, but even so, he had a still clearly established his legacy in the wrestling world. As a sign of tribute to Flair, you would hear wrestling fans shout the famous “wooooo!”, and you would see the excitement of the crowd as he made a knife edge wrestling chop to the chest of the opponent, a signature move that was considered and labelled as Flair’s move. No sooner would companies use Flair as their ambassador of the game, and use him in the promotion of the industry even sending him to other countries in order to promote the companies’ events.

The business of wrestling is what it is today because of the man called Ric Flair, and every wrestler, fan and viewer of any wrestling match would want to thank this man for his contribution.
